Tiny Survivors
This is my submission for the GameDev.tv Jam 2024.
The feature breaking bug seems to be fixed.
It's my first game using the Godot engine and I really enjoyed creating it! The game isn't balanced by any means and not feature complete. It's all I managed to get done in approximately 5 days (no full days though). I hope you enjoy!
Use W, A, S, D or arrow keys to move.
The dice at the beginning are used to modify starting values. So you're basically in control of the difficulty and the balance between risk and reward. A dice upgrade system was planned but I didn't manage to get it done in time. Only 1 dice per slot. I need to fix the bug that allows the player to stack the dice in one slot.
There are 3 weapons in the game: Sword, Dual Axe and Staff.
The Sword and the Staff are firing target following projectiles, once an enemy enters the target range. Otherwise they'll shot in a random direction.
The Dual Axe follows a different approach. On level 1 there is only one projectile fired to the right. Up to level 4 there will be added one more projectile for the other directions (left, up, down). And every 4 levels the projectiles will pierce through an additional enemy.
Bosses will spawn every X seconds, where X is the amount you'll set using the die. They'll drop a chest on death that contains 1 to 3 weapons, again depending on the die value.
